Sierra Nevada Ecology

In our 5/31 Sierra Nevada ecology class, we will learn about montane ecology, including fungi and plants, wildflowers, soil, land management, land history, and more!

This program will teach you foundational skills to be able to go foraging on your own. We will include a cooking demo, cover tree, plant anatomy for identification, poisonous and edible mushrooms, and forest safety.  Fun for all ages. 3-5 miles on uneven terrain required.

Led by expert naturalist Thea Chesney
