Sponsor a community member’s class
At Fork in the Path, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn about wild seasonal food. We offer sliding scale pricing, but our lowest tiers aren't affordable for all.
We're building a scholarship fund to offer free classes. Our goal is to give away two free spots in every class in the next year, which would require raising $10,000. These spots will be offered by lottery, prioritizing low-income, under-18, disabled/chronically ill, or resilient identity applicants.
Your support helps provide high-quality ecological education. Thank you for considering supporting our community through this fund!

No, Fork in the Path is not a 501(c)3. But you can feel very good about offering a community member a wonderful learning opportunity!
-
Anyone who wants to, but priority is given to individuals who are low-income, disabled/chronically-ill, and resilient identity.

We have not opened scholarship applications yet. Once we have raised $1000 we will begin to give away scholarships. An announcement will be made on the website, on social media, and via our newsletter when we are ready. Our goal is to open up applications before the end of the summer.
-
We do offer some free classes now. Our field classes are very expensive to run, between permit costs, insurance, paying teachers living wages, gas, teaching supplies, and business overhead. Our lowest tier tickets are just above cost. Currently, only 10% of students pay the “pay-it-forward” rate, which is just enough for Fork in the Path to continue to be able to offer sliding scale pricing.

Then we will give away more free tickets! 100% of the money raised goes towards scholarship tickets.
