Fork In The Path
Forest-to-table Learning
Fork in the Path offers forest-to-table learning programs for the adventurous of all ages across Northern California. We believe learning to forage and eating seasonal wild food is transformational. It helps us become more connected, whole, healthy, and happy.
We teach foraging and taste wild food, cultivate a respectful and reciprocal relationship with the land, and build community. We answer “Can I eat that?” and invite curiosity about everything we find within the ecosystems of our outdoor classrooms. We also teach how to make art, cook, and process foraged foods into medicines, gifts, and more.
We work with phenomenal teachers who bring a combination of expertise, shared values, and group facilitation skills.
Because reciprocity is one of our core values, all programs are fully permitted within the lands that host us. We acknowledge our programs take place on the ancestral lands of the Ohlone, Kashaia Pomo, Nisenan, and Miwok First Peoples, and donate a portion of every program to non-profits led by Indigenous communities such as the Native American Rights Fund. We encourage you to consider contributing to this organization or others that speak to you.
Throughout our lives, we find new passions that change our lives forever.

“Our family did this together on a Saturday and we had the best time! The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. The other folks in the group were delightful, and we found a lot of mushrooms!” — Katie B.
